Staircases Continue to be Dismantled During Refurbishment of The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Construction continues on The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort as new Disney Vacation Club Resort Studios are created.

Scaffolding surrounds this building and the staircase at one end has been completely dismantled.

Even the staircase supports are now gone.

The roof of the staircase remains.

Shingles have been removed from some areas.

The weather-proof sheathing is exposed.

Crew members were working on one large section of exposed sheathing.

The top level of scaffolding is surrounded by white tarps.

Black tubes lead down the scaffolding.

We could see more crew members working on the top level near these roofs.

Paneling has been removed from this other staircase, but the stairs remain.

Paneling was also removed from the building.

Eventually, all rooms at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will be refurbished to match the new Disney Vacation Club resort studios.
