From saving Disney during the pandemic and introducing streaming services to the stock dropping below $100 this month. Chapek has had his ups and downs with the company.

With just nine months left on Chapek’s contract, many are speculating whether the CEO will be removed. Considering the circumstances and support from the Disney Board, it looks like Chapek may be here to stay.

  1. Why do the Disney Board support a man who is the complete opposite to Walt? If they had any substance they would get shot of him and restore Disney to what is once was

  2. It looks like the board of directors is in league with Chapek & the Woke dumbbells in bringing down Walt’s Disney Co. and changing it into a non child friendly place which would sadden Walt & everyone who helped him build it. It would also sadden the parents of all the little ones and older ones who love the original Disney. You folks are screwing up and you do not care but it will bite you in the end!

  3. Resting Chapek is a vote for medioracy and a continuing erosion of classic Disney service.
Just remember Disney has Chapel for the loose of the RCID.

  4. We hope it goes away as soon as possible! and let Bob Iger come back or someone else as good as him !! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️🏰💐🌹❤️💙 because you can’t see this poor wonder suffer like this !! even Walt and all his brothers !! let’s hope well look🤞🤞🙏🙏 please Iger!! Come back🙏🙏

  5. Chapek’s Contract is likely to be renewed forever. Disney’s Board of Directors will most likely renew his contract, and is likely extend it, permanently. They will give him a permanent contract that will be renewed forever

  6. He needs to go and someone who respects the guest and the real Disney attitude needs to come in. Chapek is a liar and a money grabber. Disney will go away w him in the driver seat.

  7. I think he needs to go.
I just got back from Disney World and it has officially lost the magic for me. It’s sad.

  8. Being too kind saying he has had “ups”. Take a look at the stock since he took over. He is a failed leader on every front and it shows in the plunging share price.

Let’s look at his accomplishments. A political quagmire in the state where they have the biggest presence, horrible guest satisfaction, a reputation for employee thievery at their resorts, destroying Disney history for zero-effort cash-ins, turning much of the enthusiast media against him or the whole company, and crashing the launch of their latest movie with unwanted last-minute political pandering. He has done nothing positive.

The problem is that Chapek is the scapegoat. None of this is his idea, he’s just here to follow orders. He is here to destroy the company so that the next CEO can give you back scraps and leave you satisfied that it is so much better than it was. Basically, the same approach Disney has used with their knockoff Star Wars franchise.

Most of this was already in the works for years. All we’re seeing is Iger’s agenda on fast forward. When the board signs off on Paycheck’s continuation, that’s how you know they aren’t done turning the screws.

  9. I think Bob needs to go.Disney sure is not the way it use to be. You use to be able to come to the Disney parks and get what you payed for, now with the raising of prices family’s can’t afford to come her to often. This company was started with Wald wanting a place for families to come and enjoy. I know they need to make money but do the higher ups need all that money and the people that keep the parks going like all of the cat members only get so little. It is always fun to have fun with the different cast members. We love Disney but we sure can’t come there as much as we used to. So I thing we need a change to get back to the way Walt Disney wanted his parks run. Me personalty I had so much faith the way Bob Iger ran Disney, now it is al about the all mighty dollar.

  10. You mean to tell me Disney shares losing almost 50% since last year, and polls showing that Chapek has an unfavorable rating of 90%+, the board intends to renew him? His record profits are from his record price gouging. The board doesn’t see that? He has been robbing us blind at the parks and the hotels – DOUBLING the costs from merch, food to the nightly hotel rates, charging us for every single thing that used to be included like shuttles from the airport to our DISNEY hotel, a free magic band with your hotel stay, free parking with your hotel stay. I could understand charging us for the above IF the hotel rates were lowered, but he’s doubled if not tripled some of the nightly rates. When will he stop? The Galactic flop that is the Starcruiser/escape room/murder mystery theater for $6k to $20k for 46 hours, to the $17 fastpass/LL; which was designed to create artificially high wait times, thereby driving up the demand for the LLs. Money, money, money – while he doesnt have the rides maintained properly or the parks cleaned. It’s my sincere wish that everyone stops going to the parks, just because they’ve run out of their lockdown savings. It should be soon at the rate Chapek is charging for everything. The worst part is this crook got his salary DOUBLED yet he’s still paying security less than $20/hour, cashiers, food workers, hotel staff minimum wage. It’s grotesque. He’s even cut the staff at the restaurants and customer service. You have to wait for hours to talk to anyone on the phone, because it’s a skeleton crew. I don’t buy that he has staffing issues, I think he’s the staffing issue. He just can’t stop squeezing every penny out of all of us.

  11. He’s had more downs than ups for sure. But Chapek, like many “elites” these days, won’t suffer any consequences for his actions so he’ll stay in place I’m sure. Disgraceful.

  12. Chapek needs to be fired by the Board. If the Board extends his contract as CEO then they need are in violation of their fiduciary duty to the shareholders.

  13. Chapek doesn’t appear to care about anyone and has made the park experience terrible for people who used to like it. I hope he goes away along with his Genie Plus and park attendance limits.

  14. I’m a long term shareholder and retired Disney employee. I say get rid of him for caving in to a very small minority of employees.
