Some guests who previously stayed at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and completed a survey are receiving invitations to a paid focus group about the hotel for Disneyland Resort.
The email is titled “Invitation to participate in research for Disneyland Resort.” Invited guests will need to complete a 5-minute survey by email before being selected to participate in the focus group. The 5-minute survey was only about Walt Disney World, although the email title referenced Disneyland Resort.
It’s possible the email title was a mistake, or this could mean Disneyland Resort is researching the possibility of building their own version of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser in the future.
The focus group will be a 90-minute virtual session between June 20 and 23, 2022. Participants will receive a $175 Disney Gift Card.

They would be dumb to do this. In other words, this fits the Chapek model
While they COULD do another Galactic Starcruiser, I think it would be awesome to do something similar with a different theme. Could attract more customers who aren’t that in to Star Wars, and double up on those who are, but also into whatever the alternate theme is…
We are big Star Wars fans, and we’d be willing to book a stay on the Galactic Starcruiser – if… it and the characters actually resembled Star Wars, and if the food and snacks didn’t look like microwaved pizzas, Pandora left over desserts and Pepperidge Farm fish crackers. The entire hotel has been mismanaged, misguided, and horribly executed. It’s an escape room, murder mystery with a sci fi theme. I literally cannot get past the blue captain. Anyone remember what the actual leader looked like in the Rebellion? She wore a caftan, and looked elegant. This captain looks like something out of 5th Element – just a cheesy clown. The price is obscene too. There’s my free survey LOL. I wish Uni would have done an HP hotel. Can you imagine the immersion? Just look at WWHP in Uni Orlando – everything, every element is from the movies. You are immersed. Nothing was created for the park, no new town, shop, restaurant – it’s all taken from the film franchise. Galaxy’s Edge, the GSC? No immersion, it’s a planet we’ve never heard of, it should have been Tattooine, and full of SW characters. Now, years later they’re giving us Fennec, Boba, Mando…still no Han, Leia, Luke, Padme, nothing. Lame. Just lame.
