‘AMA ‘AMA Reopening at Aulani Resort as Dinner-Only Experience

The reimagined ‘AMA ‘AMA will be reopening at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, this fall as a dinner-only experience.

Here is the description of the updated ‘AMA ‘AMA menu and appearance from Disney:

Soon to be unveiled, ʻAMA ʻAMA will feature a new, upscale dinner-only menu backed by a dynamic culinary team that invigorates each locally-inspired dish, cocktail, wine, and dessert with the Disney service and attention to detail guests have come to know and love at Aulani Resort.

Through collaborative efforts led by Disney Imagineer Jeanette Lomboy, guests with a careful eye will notice familiar details seemingly left by generations of family members, including our own beloved Aunty and Uncle, who lived in this space and continued to expand on it over time. New light fixtures inspired by traditional Hawaiian fish baskets and an alluring central light fixture composed of fin-like elements that swim above the entrance, enhance the connection between the restaurant and its namesake, the ‘ama‘ama fish –historically the most abundant and vital fish of Hawai‘i. We are excited to welcome you and your ʻohana back to ʻAMA ʻAMA to celebrate and enhance your vacation dining experience.

More information about the menu and reservations will be released later.

Aunty’s Beach House reopened at Aulani a few months ago.

  1. The breakfast will be missed. The pancakes were simply amazing. Hopefully they will add it back in.

  2. Sad to see this as a “dinner only” venue. That means that there will be only Makahiki and the Grab & Go place for breakfast, right?

Ama Ama breakfast was always special, and the castmembers there treated you more like family than customers.
