Walt Disney World has two new retro tees featuring SMRT-1 and the old transportation ticket design.
SMRT-1 Tee – $36.99
This tee is marbled blue and reads “I am a SMRT-1.” SMRT-1 himself is pictured below the words, against a grid pattern, with the EPCOT logo at the corner and “EPCOT Center” below.
SMRT-1 appeared in the now-defunct CommuniCore at EPCOT.
Maybe SMRT-1 (or at least a reference) will return in the new CommuniCore Hall?
Transportation Ticket Tee – $36.99
This tee is a heather red. It reads “Transportation Ticket” in large letters, with an image of a boat and Monorail.
As detailed on the shirt, fifty years ago, one of these $1.50 tickets allowed guests “unlimited use today and tonight of the Walt Disney World transportation system,” including the Monorail, steamboats, and motor transit.
Both the transportation ticket and SMRT-1 tees were available in DisneyStyle at Disney Springs.
