Beignet aux Trois Fromages: Warm Beignet filled with Three Cheese Blend – $6.00

This was good but strange. The dough tastes like a standard, somewhat sweet doughnut, and maybe slightly undercooked. The cheese mixture was delicious, creamy, and smooth. It was a nice blend of cheese flavors. However, the cheese and doughnut together were a weird combination. It wasn’t exactly bad, just odd.

*NEW* Brioche aux Escargots, Sauce Crème à l’ail et Persil: Escargot Brioche with Creamy Garlic and Parsley Sauce – $7.25

France FoodandWine2022 Escargots 1

For the price of $7.25, you receive three pieces of escargot smothered in sauce and bread. While we found the escargot to be very flavorful, the pastry was a bit too dense for our liking. It was more chewy than flakey.

Personally, if you’re craving escargot we suggest visiting Chefs de France rather than buying this dish. Or, if you’re looking for a unique food experience during the festival, we recommend the Takoyaki from the Japan marketplace.

*NEW* Parmentier de Boeuf Braisé au Cabernet: Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes – $6.75

While the pork is super tender in this dish, we found the whole thing to be a bit on the bland side. The potatoes are nice and add texture, but the whole thing is just lacking seasoning.

While there’s Cabernet listed in the sauce, we couldn’t find any taste of it. Personally, this dish is a skip.

*NEW* Crème Brûlée Vanille à la Confiture de Framboises: Vanilla Crème Brûlée with House-Made Raspberry Jam – $5.95

France FoodandWine2022 CreamBurle 1

Like any good Crème Brûlée, the top was crunchy and broke easily for us. Underneath was a large amount of cream, followed by a raspberry jam that had settled at the bottom. The jam tasted nice and fresh, and not at all artificial.

The whole dessert had a creamy consistency that held up in the heat, and it wasn’t too sweet. This was easily our favorite item from the booth.

*NEW* Strawberry Rose Mimosa: Pol Remy Sparkling Wine ($7/bottle), Orange Juice, and Monin Strawberry Rose – $8.95

france-booth-food-9839

This was good, but nothing mind-blowing. It’s a standard mimosa with sparkling wine and orange juice, but with a hint of strawberry. It’s tasty and refreshing, but ultimately forgettable.

Chardonnay, Louis de Camponac ($12/bottle) – $5.50

British grocery store Tesco describes this Chardonnay: “This white wine has a clear and bright yellow hue with aromas of white fruits. The palate is bursting with flavor and [fruitiness].”

La Passion Martini Slushy: Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron ($30/bottle), Cranberry and Passion Fruit Juice – $12.95

Epcot Food & Wine 2018 France Martini Slush

We love this frozen beverage. It’s a little expensive but the taste and booziness of the drink are well-warranted. It’s cool, refreshing, and tastes fruity enough to be enjoyable without being too sweet.
