We got a surprise today in the Emporium at Magic Kingdom, as four of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary collectible medallions have been replaced with new designs.
New 50th Anniversary Collectible Medallions – $5 each, $10 for 2, or $15 for 4

The machine is located at the back of the Emporium. A pressed penny machine with 50th anniversary designs is beside it.

The four new designs all feature the “50” and Cinderella Castle silhouette.

We collected all four for a closer look.

The back of each coin is identical, featuring Mickey Mouse with “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” above him and “Walt Disney World” below him.
Partners Statue

One design features the iconic Partners Statue with Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse.
Donald Duck

Another features Donald in his 50th costume.
Mickey & Minnie

Mickey and Minnie share an embrace in their anniversary outfits on this medallion.
Tinker Bell

And last but not least is a new Tinker Bell design.
The medallion machine used to have four designs featuring Mickey, Minnie, Lady, and Tinker Bell. At this time, it’s unknown if those designs have been retired or if we will find them elsewhere. Stay tuned for any more 50th anniversary medallion news.

The original medallions in the emporium (Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Tinker Bell)are now at the Port Orleans resort.
I have read on another post that these medallions are inside the Hall of Champions store.
Mr. Pip, thanks for the location of the first 50th medallions. I am going in a couple weeks and happy not to miss out. If you have a minute can you tell me if it is Port Orleans Riverside? Thank you again. Vickie
