BREAKING: Original Haunted Mansion Store at Disneyland Turned Into Faux Jazz Bar Seating Area

A new seating area, located in the old Haunted Mansion shop, has now opened next door to Royal Street Veranda.

The entrance of the Port Royal Jazz Club features arched windows and a vintage sign, evoking a Haunted Mansion vibe.

The former Port Royal Curios and Curiosities shop located in New Orleans Square offered different merchandise offerings over the years, most recently Haunted Mansion merchandise. However, with the recent opening of Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond Haunted Mansion Gift Shop, the former merchandise location was no longer needed.

According to Cast Members, all merchandise has been moved to Madame Leota’s.

Now, the building will serve as an additional seating area for Royal Street Veranda, a quick-service location offerings New Orleans-inspired bites.

Although the bar is just a facade, there is additional seating along what used to be a cash register counter. Despite being an overnight turnover, the extensive propping and detail suggests that this update has been in development for a while.

The faux-bar is full of details including different beverage glasses, fruit trays, and pre-made cocktails. The left cabinet is blue, the middle buffet-style cabinet is purple, and the right cabinet is green.

Colorful bottles labeled as various liquors like bourbon, vodka, brandy, tequila, and gin are displayed alongside bottles labeled at different flavors of soda water.

Several musical instruments are situated above the bar with cigar boxes and fedoras. There are also other liquor bottles a top the cabinets. All of the themed items are cast in a blue light.

The seating area has several tables and chairs. Some of the walls are covered in red, padded material. Others have posters and themed details.

There are several posters in the new seating area including this one which advertises the “New Orleans Square Music Hall” with “Live Shows Nightly,” home of the “Kat Sue Johnson Trio.” The poster also advertises “Swingin’ Saturdays with Dancing from 9-1.” The posters fit the “Port Royal Jazz Club” theme of the new seating area.
