Good morning World Travelers! Today we are back in EPCOT because Behind the Seeds Tour and EPCOT Seas Adventures Dolphins in Depth tour have returned for the first time since 2020. We are planning on doing a Behind the Seeds Tour today. We will also be looking for all the new things we can find today. Let’s get started.

Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of EPCOT. All the 40th anniversary decorations and banners are still displayed in the park as the celebration continues today.

While entering EPCOT we noticed the original EPCOT music loop was still playing today. We are hoping it sticks around for a while to celebrate the 40th anniversary.

In Pin Traders-Camera Center we spotted two new MagicBand+ designs. The first is an EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2022 MagicBand+ design featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The second MagicBand+ design is a Passholder EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival 2022 design featuring Remy. Both of these MagicBand+ are limited release and priced at $54.99 a piece.

We decided to stop into Creations Shop to see if we could find any new merchandise since yesterday. We noticed there was no longer the need for a line to enter the shop.

It appeared that all the merchandise from yesterday’s release was still available today. This included the EPCOT 40th anniversary Loungefly backpacks and spirit jerseys.

It was time for our Behind the Seeds Tour in The Land Pavilion. We made our way inside to check-in.

Advanced reservations are recommended because space is limited. Each tour allows no more than 20 people and they have several tours throughout the day. You can sign up for a tour on the My Disney Experience app or walk up in person if there is availability. They ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your tour to check-in. The tour costs $35 per person.

The Mickey’s mini gardens have returned for you to purchase. You can bring home a plant tissue culture that was regenerated right here in The Land at EPCOT. There are many different varieties to choose from and instructions are included on how to care for your plant at home. This is a great souvenir to bring home after doing the Behind the Seeds Tour.

The Behind the Seeds Tour is an hour long walking tour of the greenhouses. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We visited four greenhouses and the fish farm during the tour.

Not only did we get up close and personal with hydroponics and aquaponics, we were allowed to touch, smell and taste. We even got to sample a cucumber grown right here in the greenhouse. One of our highlights of the tour was touching Stanley, the sensitive plant, to see how when he is touched the leaves curl as a defense mechanism.

We also stopped by the aquaponic lab and we were able to feed tilapia fish. Overall the Behind the Seeds Tour was very educational and we would definitely recommend it if you would like to see the behind the scenes of Living with the Land.

Cast members were handing out complimentary EPCOT 40 commemorative prints when guests exited the park today.

We couldn’t resist purchasing this small Figment EPCOT 40 plush. In case you missed it, Disney plans to release a movie based on Figment.

We decided to hop over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to try a new limited time Halloween snack. The Tamatoa crab mini cake is available in Capt. Cook’s and Kona Island until October 31st.
