Last year, the iconic “Welcome to Universal Orlando Resort” sign suddenly disappeared from the entrance to Universal CityWalk Orlando without explanation. Now nearly 10 months later, the sign has finally returned with a brand-new look!
Guests see this bridge walking in from the parking garage moving walkways. The new sign sees the entire bridge painted blue, the primary color of Universal. It still reads “Welcome to Universal Orlando Resort” but with some changes.
The new sign is all in the same font, whereas in the old sign “Orlando” was written in blue cursive against white text for the rest of the words.
The new sign only emphasizes the word “Universal” rather than “Universal Orlando,” and all wording is center aligned. “Welcome to” is written in the smallest text atop, “Universal” is in the largest size and bordered in gold, and “Orlando Resort” is below in smaller text.
For reference, this is how the sign appeared prior to March 2022. Signs of its reappearance first emerged in December.
