“Savor stunning dishes artfully composed with the finest ingredients farmed and foraged from the land,” is how the Gourmet Landscapes booth is described for the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Along with the pretty presentations and tasty food, all of the portion sizes we were given from this booth were very generous, making it a win in our book.

Blood Orange-Braised Beet Tartare – $5.50
Served with Mustard Vinaigrette, Pickled Clamshell Mushrooms, and Golden Beets
This is a very refreshing sort of salad. It has a slight bit of vinegar marinated into the beets. You definitely get a strong flavor when hen you get a piece of bleu cheese in a bite. We enjoyed that because we like bleu cheese, but that may not be for everyone. This was definitely not something we would expect for Festival of the Arts due to the cooler weather. Given the makeup, feels much more suited for Flower & Garden. There are also nuts, which add a bit of texture and crunch. If you’re craving vegetables (specifically beets), this is a solid choice.
Roasted Bone Marrow – $10.50
Served with Onion Marmalade, Pickled Mushrooms and Petite Lettuce
Given the incredible statement made when you walk away from a booth with a Fred Flintstone-esque bone, this was a severe disappointment. Everything on top of the marrow is good, but the marrow itself was flavorless compared to others we’ve had. It’s not worth buying this to have two decent bites of mushroom and onion jam.
Wild Mushroom Risotto – $9.75
Features Aged Parmesan, Truffle Shavings, and a Zinfandel Reduction
This is our second favorite dish of the entire EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, so much so that we wish we could order a full-sized entrée featuring it. The cheese and risotto blend together perfectly, and the mushrooms were very flavorful, proving especially tasty when soaked into the risotto.
*NEW* Whole Hog Brewery Raspberry Chéret Double Radler, Stevens Point, WI (5.5% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz., $9.50 for 12 oz.
Untappd describes this as a “double Radler beer with natural flavor added. Inspired by the colorful poster the French artist Jules Chéret brought to the streets of 19th-century Paris, Raspberry Chéret is a crisp ale made with Pilsen Malt, Saab Hops, raspberry, citrus, generous carbonation, and twice the bite of a traditional Radler beer.”
Schlumberger Cuvée Klimt, Austria ($18/bottle) – $9.00
From Wine Enthusiast‘s Joe Czerwinski: “Pleasant spiced pear and cinnamon aromas lead into pear and sour plum flavors. Medium-bodied, with a short finish, it’s the only Austrian fizz we’ve ever tried—it makes us think the country has potential.”
The Meeker Vineyard Winemakers’ Handprint Merlot, Sonoma County, CA ($45/bottle) – $11.00
The Meeker Vineyard describes this Merlot: “Dark fruit like currants and cherries marry on the nose with hints of toffee and caramel. The wine explodes on your palate with more cherries, and hints of the best strawberry rhubarb pie you’ve ever had. There’s no shortage of subtle, toasty oak and big, powerful tannins throughout the palate and finish of this wine.”
Frozen Rusty Nail Cocktail – $15.00
This is probably what you would expect. It tastes like pure alcohol. If you like your drinks on the “jet fuel” side, go for it. If not, stay away.
