REVIEW: Goshiki Returns with New Rainbow Katsu Sando, Ichigo Daifuku and More for the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

Goshiki is a Japanese-themed food studio available during the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Its food menu this year consists of katsu, sushi in the form of a donut, and Daifuku, a stuffed mochi. The alcoholic beverages include a lager, sake that you can get personalized, and a yuzu sake lemonade. This menu is almost entirely new for the 2023 festival and we’re excited to try the new offerings!

*NEW* Rainbow Katsu Sando – $6.50

Don’t let the colorful appearance fool you. We didn’t like this at all!

The pork cutlet tastes super old and dry. It’s really terrible.

The tangy sauce was okay, while the coleslaw was weird and the sweet bread does not do anything to help the whole thing. This one’s a hard pass.

Sushi Donut – $8.25

This was quite decent for them park sushi to be honest, in fact, it’s better than half the sushi restaurants in Orlando. However, there’s nothing special to it besides the shape, so we’d suggest saving your money for the more unique festival offerings.

*NEW* Ichigo Daifuku – $6.75

Mixed Berry Mochi, Sweet Azuki Bean Paste and Mascarpone

The bean paste is a little weird. It’s not terrible, it’s just weird.

This isn’t really good or bad, but you can find better desserts elsewhere.

Don’t waste your time with this.

It’s a souvenir and a sizeable drink all in one. You really do get a wooden cup, which the Cast Members are more than happy to personalize with your name written in Japanese on the side. The sake was your average sake, but it was ladled into the wooden cup from a huge barrel. A really unique experience, something only Festival of the Arts can pull off.

*NEW* Purple Yuzu Sake Lemonade: Sake Cocktail infused with Butterfly Pea Flower and Yuzu Lemonade – $8.50

We can taste the sake, but it’s subtle. There’s no lemonade flavor to this. We get mostly yuzu.

There’s very little taste at all, which is why we were desperately searching for the flavors. It’s not awful, just disappointing.
