Kali River Rapids Reopens Over Two Weeks Early at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom reopened from its refurbishment on Sunday, almost three weeks ahead of schedule.

The water ride was closed for refurbishment beginning on January 9 and was scheduled to reopen on March 17.

The ride typically closes for the season between January and April of each year. Kali River Rapids was closed for an extended refurbishment at the end of 2021. Originally set to reopen in December 2021, the ride was reopened to guests on January 4, 2022. This time, guests were surprised by a faster than expected refurbishment.
