The 95th Academy Awards are next month, and to celebrate a new “Oscar Popcorn Mix” is available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let’s give it a try!

Oscar Popcorn Mix — $7.50

Kettle Corn with Cinnamon Cereal, White Chocolate, and Gold Sprinkles

The Oscars will premiere on Sunday March 12, 2023 on ABC and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The description of this popcorn mix sounded delicious, so we decided to give it a try.

Despite the enticing description, this should be up for Razzie Award rather than an Academy Award. The kettle corn has a very subtle sweetness, the white chocolate is hard to find except for a hidden powdery residue in a few kernels (a flavor most akin to dry cereal marshmallows), and somehow they took the cinnamon flavor away from Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

That explosion of cinnamon flavor would have been a welcome addition, but instead this is a mediocre blend best left out of your consideration.

You can find this mix at all three “Hot and Fresh Popcorn” kiosks located inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Center Stage area in the middle of the park, just outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
