Test seats have been installed near the entrance to TRON Lightcycle / Run in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
The test seats are in front of a themed backdrop that was installed a few weeks ago on the raised walkway, just a few yards from the entrance to the show building.
The test seats are in the same spot as the test seats for TRON Lightcycle Power Run in Shanghai Disneyland.
There are two seats or lightcycles. Guests will be able to sit here to make sure they fit comfortably on the attraction.
The area also works as a photo-op, especially for kids too young to ride the coaster yet.
We saw some crew members working in the area of the test seats when we rode by on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
The test seats and backdrop are similar to the showcase that sat in Tomorrowland back in late 2019 and early 2020.
Here is what the area looks like in Shanghai Disneyland, with a giant “TRON” sign hanging above.
TRON Lightcycle / Run will open at Magic Kingdom on April 4, 2023. A sign was recently installed at the end of the elevated walkway that will take guests under the coaster track and canopy. Disney shared photos this week of the canopy, a.k.a. the Upload Conduit, fully powered on.
Signs for restrooms and the height requirement were also installed this month. Yesterday, we saw a Cast Member in their TRON Lightcycle / Run costume.
