*NEW* Quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza – $8.00

House-made Masa Tortillas filled with Squash Blossoms, Bacon, Onion, Zucchini, and Cheese

quesadilla de flor de calabaza 1

The quesadilla is gluten free, which is nice, but it feels like that’s the big selling point. It’s extremely doughy, very dry, and tough.

The filling, however, is delicious. It would be great as a spread on top of a pita. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do much to save this dish as there isn’t a good ratio of filling to tortilla.

You can scoop the salsa verde onto the bread to make it a little moister, but overall, we would not get this dish again.

Taco Vampiro – $8.75

Barbacoa Beef in a Corn Tortilla with Crispy Grilled Monterey Jack Cheese, Salsa Ranchera, and Esquites

This taco was one of our favorites. It had well-seasoned beef. The cheese on top was nice and crunchy. The corn was also well-seasoned. The crema sauce had a really good kick of spice that paired well with the saltiness of the queso fresco. We loved this.

*NEW* Mala Hierba Margarita – $14.00

Centinela Tequila Reposado ($41/bottle), Elderflower-Chamomile Tea, Abasolo Corn Whiskey ($46/bottle), and UNA Flower-infused Vodka ($39/bottle) with a Chile Salt Rim

The chile salt rim is phenomenal. It’s spicy with the perfect amount of salt. We could literally lick this and eat it all day long. The drink itself, however, is one we won’t be getting again. It’s a much warmer tone in terms of flavor and perhaps something that would taste good during the fall. We don’t think the chamomile tea suits the whiskey and tequila well, as it doesn’t bring out any flavors. Instead, it falls flat and bland.

*NEW* Cristal Margarita – $16.00

100% Agave Tequila Blanco, Ilegal Mezcal Joven ($30/bottle), Clarified Lemon Juice, and Orange Liqueur in a Souvenir Cup

This margarita comes with a souvenir cup, which is really cute. It also holds a fabulous drink.

The lemon juice and orange liqueur come through, making it fresh but extremely strong. You can taste tequila and mezcal in this. For such a small size, it packs a punch.
