To mark her arrival at Shanghai Disneyland, Mei Lee from “Turning Red” performed a dance in her red panda form in front of the Enchanted Storybook Castle.
@DisneyWorldJp shared the video of Mei and her backup dancers on Twitter. The audio is not the original music used by Disney. Mei is actually dancing to a 4*TOWN song.
@DisneyWorldJp also shared a video of Mei appearing in “Disney Color-Fest: A Street Party!”
The Mei Lee meet and greet will be available until May 31 as part of limited-time spring offerings. This is Mei’s first appearance in any Disney park.
Pixar’s “Turning Red,” about a Chinese Canadian girl who turns into a red panda, was released in 2022 on Disney+. It was nominated for best animated feature at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.
