Walt Disney Imagineering Shares First Look at TRON Lightcycle / Run ‘Team Green’ Postshow

Walt Disney Imagineering has taken to Instagram to share their first look inside the previously-announced postshow space for TRON Lightcycle / Run at Walt Disney World, which is sponsored by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Walt Disney Imagineering posted along with the Disney Parks Blog on Instagram to share a look inside the still-in-progress area of the attraction, located right at the exit.

WDI’s caption reads as follows, “Take a look as Imagineers put the finishing touches on the TRON Lightcycle / Run post-show, presented by @Enterprise. Imagineers just installed Team Green’s Lightcycle and are finishing up the installation of a collection of graphics throughout the space. Be on the lookout for more information coming to the Disney Parks Blog to learn more about Team Green and this thrilling new attraction coming to Magic Kingdom Park.”

Team Green is of course a reference to the trademark color of the attraction’s sponsor Enterprise Rent-A-Car. It seems the space isn’t going for as much of an advertising angle as some other postshows might.

A green-colored lightcycle sits at the center of the postshow space, located right at the attraction’s exit. In the world of TRON, green circuitry is only seen in the original 1982 film to represent military programs, and in the Disney XD series “TRON: Uprising” to represent the elite Black Guard. We’ve yet to see what Team Green will represent in the context of TRON Lightcycle / Run, but Disney did promise more details soon.

Tron Lightcycle run exit area C

We first checked in on the future postshow space when we rode TRON Lightcycle / Run during Cast Member previews, and it was entirely empty, with only a thin black curtain covering the area.

There is no shop space at the attraction, instead TRON merchandise will be sold at the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. that is currently closed for remodeling.

Previews of TRON Lightcycle / Run for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and D23 Gold members are ongoing over the next several weeks, but we don’t know when the post-show experience will open. The attraction will open to all guests on April 4, 2023. Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. will also reopen soon to act as the gift shop for TRON Lightcycle / Run and Space Mountain.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car sponsors the new roller-coaster, as well as Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
