A limited-edition Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th anniversary pin set will be available exclusively to D23 Gold Members next week.
This set has five pins representing the park’s different lands: a Carnotaurus for Dinoland U.S.A., a Yeti for Asia, a giraffe for Africa, an Ikran (a.k.a. banshee) for Pandora, and the Tree of Life for Discovery Island. The pins are all gold and black, and the Tree of Life pin features the “25” logo of the anniversary.
The pin set has a limited edition of 1,000. It will be available to D23 Gold Members at 8:00 a.m. PST on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, on shopDisney.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th Anniversary
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Earth Day, April 22, 2023. Special merchandise, food and beverage offerings, and more will be available in the park to celebrate.
The Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th anniversary collection will be available starting April 21 at Island Mercantile, Discovery Trading Company, and Mombasa Marketplace. The collection includes a Spirit Jersey, tumbler, pocket tee, and button-ups. A limited edition Earth Month pin is also available now at retail locations throughout the park.
Disney has already released some special Earth Day treats, and we’ve already reviewed the Bee Hive Mousse Dome, Golden Elephant Cupcake, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail Sundae. But more treats will be available exclusively on April 22, including the Colossal Elephant Roll and the 25th Anniversary Alive with Magic Cupcake. A 25th Anniversary Dessert Platter will be available at Tiffins Restaurant and a 25th Anniversary Earth Tart will be at Tusker House Restaurant.
Disney PhotoPass Service will offer Earth Month and 25th anniversary photo ops beginning April 16. These include special props, Magic Shots, and more.
The 25th anniversary sign prop is made out of recycled materials, including upcycled sign backers, Cast Member costumes, and patches.
A Moana meet and greet will begin on April 22.
During the month of April, guests visiting The Animation Experience at Conservation Station can learn to draw characters like Dumbo, Terk from “Tarzan,” Crush or Bruce from “Finding Nemo,” Tigger from “Winnie the Pooh” or Simba from “The Lion King.”
From April 16 to April 23, Wilderness Explorers have the opportunity to earn a special badge by completing a limited-time nature challenge.
