A new message has updated at 2:28 p.m. ET beneath the queue screen for potential Walt Disney World Annual Passholder purchases. It reads:

We thank you and all our fans for the incredible enthusiasm for the Passholder program. Due to high popularity of our Annual Passes, please know wait times may exceed several hours. We anticipate a pass or select passes may become unavailable for purchase later today. Continue to check here for updates.

Passholder message to buyers on April 20.

After sales briefly pausing this morning, the process for purchasing an Annual Pass has largely consisted of waiting in a slowly-moving queue. Potential passholders are instructed to keep the browser window open, and not to refresh or press the back button, as they may lose their virtual place in line.

Once a guest is permitted into the site to purchase an Annual Pass, they have ten minutes to access the shopping page and complete their transaction. The passes are limited, and simply waiting in a queue does not promise Annual Pass ownership.

We will keep you updated as the Annual Pass availability changes.

Annual Pass Sales Information

Existing Annual Passholders will be able to renew their pass outside of their renewal window.

A limited number of passes will be available during this opening of Annual Pass sales.

Three out of the four Walt Disney World Annual Pass tiers have not been available for purchase since November 2021. The four new tiers launched in September 2021. Before that, Annual Pass sales were suspended since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Walt Disney World Annual Passholders have still been able to renew their passes, and the lowest tier of Annual Pass (Pixie Dust Pass) has remained available.

Price increases for Annual Passes were announced last year. Here is the current pricing for each pass tier:

  • Incredi-Pass: $1399 (was $1299)
  • Sorcerer Pass: $969 (was $899)
  • Pirate Pass: $749 (was $699)
  • Pixie Dust Pass: $399 (no change)

The Incredi-Pass has no blockout dates. The Sorcerer Pass, for only Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members, has blockout dates around the winter holidays. The Pirate Pass has blockout dates around the winter holidays, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and other busy times. The Pixie Dust Pass, for Florida residents only, has the most blockout dates and unavailability on the weekends.

Walt Disney World Annual Passes were sold continuously from September 1982 until March 2020. Since then, the price has increased dramatically and multiple tiers have been introduced with various blockout dates and benefits, depending on the selected tier.

A new Walt Disney World Annual Pass design also launched with the end of the 50th anniversary.
