PHOTOS: New Timon Sipper With 25th Anniversary Lanyard at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A new Timon sipper is available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to go with the Pumbaa popcorn bucket released on the park’s 25th anniversary.

The Timon sipper is available at Trek Snacks, Cornivores, The Feeding Ground, and select ice cream carts throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We picked ours up at the cart near Creature Comforts (Starbucks).

The red and orange strap reads “Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25th anniversary” and “Hakuna Matata.” It’s the same strap included with the Pumbaa popcorn bucket.

This Pumbaa popcorn bucket is still available for $20.69 at Trek Snacks and popcorn carts throughout the park while supplies last.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998. To celebrate the park’s 25th anniversary, Animal Kingdom had special food itemsrare character meet and greets, and a merchandise collection. There was also a special 25th anniversary ceremony. Watch our video below.

The Walt Disney World Ambassadors page posted a commemoration on Instagram for the 123 cast members at Disney’s Animal Kingdom who’ve been around to make magic moments and watch the park grow and transform over all 25 years.

Cast members dug up a time capsule buried beneath Disney’s Animal Kingdom 25 years ago. Upon opening this historic relic for the park’s anniversary celebration, various interesting opening day items, trinkets, and technologies were discovered. Disney also shared a letter from the opening team to today’s cast.

permanent Moana meet and greet opened on April 22 at Character Landing on Discovery Island.
