If you’re visiting Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort today, May 4, make sure to pick up the Millennium Falcon Soft-Serve Sundae from Pineapple Lanai.
The returning Star Wars Day treat is only available today.
Millennium Falcon Star Wars Soft-serve Sundae – $6.29
Galactic gray vanilla soft-serve with mint flavor, chocolate cream cookie crumbles, chocolate drizzle, white chocolate pearl stars, brownie asteroid pieces with stardust sparkles, and a Millennium Falcon white chocolate piece
The vanilla soft-serve is gray to match the legendary ship. It would have been nice to have a unique flavor, but you can’t go wrong with vanilla.
The ice cream sits upon a bed of chocolate cream cookie crumbs that add a great flavor and texture to the sundae.
The white chocolate and fondant Millenium Falcon is navigating through a brownie asteroid field. The brownies and Falcon accent piece are covered with “stardust sprinkles,” otherwise known as edible glitter.
The Falcon is an edible image on fondant, attached to a disc of white chocolate.
The brownie asteroids are moist with a rich chocolate flavor. They are a great addition to the sundae. The white chocolate “star” pearls add a nice crisp to the texture palette.
Overall, the sundae is good, but nothing particularly special. Will you be trying it this year? Let us know in the comments!
May the 4th
May 4 is considered Star Wars Day because “May the 4th” sounds like “May the Force (be with you).” It’s celebrated annually by “Star Wars” fans and now Disney and Lucasfilm. At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s called Black Spire Day, honoring the founding of the Batuu outpost.
A new Dok-Ondar action figure will be available on shopDisney, too. A new Sith wayfinder and Cal Kestis lightsaber hilt were released at Dok-Ondar’s today. A light-up acid spitter orb sipper is available at Ronto Roasters and Docking Bay 7. New Legacy Lightsaber hilts will arrive at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge throughout the month of May.
Check out the full list of May the 4th food and beverage offerings at Walt Disney World Resort. Read our review of the Wookiee Cookie and Darth Vader Cupcake. The Oi-Oi puff has also returned to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo.
Carrie Fisher will receive a posthumous star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame on Star Wars Day this year.
