DisneyBand+ now sailing on the Disney Wish! Experience the benefits from the moment you arrive! From boarding the ship and accessing your stateroom, to purchasing specialty food and merchandise and beyond, DisneyBand+ adds convenience, fun and more magic to your cruise! Sailing on another Disney cruise ship? Stay tuned for more information!

DisneyBand+ will operate similarly to MagicBand+ or Key to the World cards. Guests can use the bands to board the ship (at US ports), access their stateroom, and charge food and merchandise to the card on their stateroom folio. The band is waterproof and rechargeable.

An assortment of DisneyBand+ designs became available late last month.

Just like in the parks, guests can use their DisneyBand+ to link their vacation photos to their stateroom. Kids will be able to utilize them to access Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Scuttle’s Cove on Castaway Cay in lieu of an Oceaneer Club Band.

Disney Cruise Line promises DisneyBand+ will bring “onboard magic to life with special interactions around the ship.” This could mean the band can be used during games like Disney Uncharted Adventure and may interact with fireworks shows and other live performances.

A Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort MagicBand+ may also be used instead.

Disney’s video below shows DisneyBand+ in action.

Key to the World cards will still be issued and required (along with a photo ID for guests 18+) to debark and embark at ports of call.

Guests on upcoming Disney Wish sailings can order a DisneyBand+ by visiting My Reservations between 11 and 45 days of their sail date if their reservation is paid in full (while supplies last). Shipping is available to US addresses only — excluding PO Boxes, APO, FPO, DPO, or any cruise ports.

Solid bands cost $34.99, and themed designs cost $44.99, plus tax. Shipping is included and orders are expected to arrive approximately 10 business days after ordering.

There will also be a limited selection of bands available for purchase on board (also while supplies last). You will not be able to return or exchange your band.

DisneyBand+ is expected roll out aboard other ships in the Disney Cruise Line sometime after this preview.

Will you be setting sail soon? Is this an exciting new way for you to enjoy your vacation with potentially less fuss? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

  1. Love the band and it’s functionality. I do think it’s a bit costly considering it can’t be used outside of Disney. But sure if it’s worth the price.
