The turning of the month also means a new monthly cookie at the beloved Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs. This month we get an all-new treat — the Sea Turtle Cookie!

Premium Chocolate, Homemade Caramel, and Whole Candied Pecans Sprinkled With Our Signature Sea Salt
This cookie is amazing. On the first bite, we were blown away.
It’s chocolatey, has the perfect amount of caramel and having the candied pecans in there really brought a good amount of savory to offset the sweet. There is also a sprinkle of sea salt on top that helps as well.
The cookie was fresh and soft. The pecans gave it a nice crunch.
Buying this cookie benefits Florida’s Sea Turtle Conservancy, so the proceeds go to a good cause. This cookie was absolutely delicious. We could taste the caramel and chocolate in almost every bite and we wish it was a permanent item on the menu.
Gideon’s June Menu
The monthly print for Gideon’s in June is a sea turtle dressed in a brown suit. He is waving from the sea floor.
The June overview reads as follows:
Our tribute to the popular candy from 1918, the Sea Turtle Cookie nurtures you with premium Chocolate, Homemade Caramel, and whole Candied Pecans sprinkled with our signature Sea Salt. A portion of sales from this new flavor will support Florida’s Sea Turtle Conservancy, the world’s oldest sea turtle research and conservation group.
In addition to the Sea Turtle Cookie, the menu states the following Handmade Cookies will be available for the month of June. These are the standard Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookies that are usually available:
- Original Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Pistachio Toffee Cookie
- Peanut Butter Crunch Cookie
- Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Cookies & Cream Cookie
- Triple Chocolate Cookie
- Morning Exclusive: Coffee Cake Cookie (available every morning until sell out)
- Evening Exclusive: Dark Coffee Cake Cookie (available at sunset until sell out)
Also on the menu are “bites,” which are bite-sized, chocolate dipped Gideon’s cookies. Each week a different flavor is offered, so be sure to ask the bakery employees which kind is available when you visit.
Enormous cake slices, nitro cold brews in a variety of flavors, and other beverages are also available. The cake flavors change regularly as well, so check with the crew if you have questions about the current availability of a flavor.
The special coffee flavor for this month is the Salted Caramel Cold Brew. Gideon’s Bakehouse describes this as “Sweet Caramel, gently balanced by a single drop of Mourning Joe’ tears.”
