My Disney Experience App Launches Mobile Order Photo Galleries

My Disney Experience, the Walt Disney World app, has launched a strange new feature: mobile order photo galleries.

A pop-up in My Disney Experience told us about the new feature. It’s available when in the mobile order menu. You can click on the blue-ringed circular featured image next to a restaurant name to view photos of the restaurants and featured menu items.

The gallery is like an Instagram story, so a photo will stay on screen for a few seconds or you can tap to move forward or back. Not every quick-service restaurant has a gallery yet, but most do, including those at Disney Springs, resort hotels, and Typhoon Lagoon. The galleries mostly have two or three stock photos.

Earlier this year, the mobile order system on both My Disney Experience and the Disneyland App was updated to include “available now” and “schedule for later” filters.

The My Disney Experience app has become an essential tool when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. Through it, guests can view wait times, locate places they want to visit with maps, make dining reservations, mobile order food, purchase merchandise, utilize Genie+ and Lightning Lane, purchase and manage tickets, make park reservations, and so much more.

We have a full guide to the free Disney Genie service that’s included in the app, which aims to help guests plan, personalize, and optimize their day. Also check out our guide to Genie+ and Lightning Lane, the extra paid services (although there have been some updates since they launched, including variable pricing).
