As Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel continues it’s transformation into Pixar Place Hotel, more updated elements are being opened up for guests’ use.

Parts of the main lobby and surrounding common areas have reopened for guests’ use.

The elevator bay for the hotel has also reopened.

It matches the style of the rest of the resort with the black and white color scheme.

A mural featuring moments from Disney and Pixar’s “Luca” is on display on the wall opposite to the elevators.

Here’s a closer look at the mural, featuring six panels of art depicting moments from the film.

Prior to this elevator bay opening, guests were asked to take the ‘D’ elevator and utilize service elevators.

There are three elevators in this area, which guests will take depending on the location of their room.

Metal motifs of Pixar characters have also been installed in the floor of the elevators. Here, you can see Flik from Disney and Pixar’s “A Bug’s Life.”

Here’s a closer look at Flik. The metal character inclusions are just silhouettes.

This metal inclusion is Dug from “Up.”

This is the silhouette of Giulia from “Luca.”

This little guy is none other than one of the iconic Little Green Men from the “Toy Story” films.

The updating theming has yet to reach the rest of the floors, however, as they still retain their previous Paradise Pier theming.

Construction crews are still hard at work on transforming the pool of the hotel.

Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel Transformation

The reimagining of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel into Disney’s Pixar Place Hotel is to be completed this winter. The project was first announced at the D23 Expo in 2022.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel has gone through many changes over the years, and was not a Disneyland Resort property until 1995, when it became the Disneyland Pacific Hotel. Just before Disney California Adventure (at the time Disney’s California Adventure Park) opened in 2001, the hotel swapped names again to reflect the Paradise Pier area it was now located behind. When Paradise Pier became Pixar Pier in 2018, it seemed only a matter of time before another modification would be in the works.
