BREAKING: ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ House Coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2023

“The Exorcist: Believer” has been announced for Halloween Horror Nights 32 at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood.

The house will focus on the upcoming chapter of the Exorcist franchise, which is a sequel to the 1973 original film.

“The Exorcist” haunted mazes appeared at Universal Studios Hollywood in Halloween Horror Nights 2016 and 2021. A haunted house was part of Halloween Horror Nights 26 at Universal Studios Florida.

The film brings Ellyn Burstyn back as Chris MacNeil, and also stars Leslie Odom Jr. (“Hamilton”), Ann Dowd (“Hereditary”), and Jennifer Nettles.

“The Exorcist: Believer” will premiere in theaters on October 13, 2023, right in the middle of the Halloween Horror Nights season. It’s directed by David Gordon Green and produced by Blumhouse’s Jason Blum with Universal Studios.

Blumhouse at Halloween Horror Nights

As Blumhouse and Universal have a contract for horror films, this is not the first and likely not the last collaboration.

There have been several houses entitled The Horrors of Blumhouse, all featuring multiple properties in each house. Given that Universal has a ten-year deal with Blumhouse for ownership and distribution of movies, the partnership makes (synergistic) sense.

Last year’s house featured “Freaky” and “The Black Phone.”
