Walt Disney World’s My Disney Experience app now offers a filter feature on the Disney Genie Tip Board to view only attractions and shows that use Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane.
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane Filter
The toggle is at the top of the Tip Board, beneath the park name and date, and the advertisement for purchasing Disney Genie+. The toggle is available even if you haven’t purchased the add-on service, so you can see what’s available before you decide to purchase.
After clicking the toggle, the app filters out any attractions that do not offer Lightning Lane via Disney Genie+. For example, Astro Orbiter at Magic Kingdom does not have Lightning Lane, so is no longer shown. The filter will also remove attractions that use Individual Lightning Lane from the list — like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Disney Genie Services Explained
Disney Genie is a free feature that launched in October 2021 at Walt Disney World. Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lane are the paid programs that replaced FastPass+.
When Genie+ first launched, the service was available at a flat rate of $15 per person, per day. In late 2022, it switched to date-based pricing. So far, the record-high price of Genie+ has been $35.
Individual Lightning Lanes are separate purchases from Genie+. Disney’s newest and most popular rides have Individual Lightning Lane offered to all guests, whether they have purchased Genie+ or not, and pricing has always been date-based.
