*NEW* Pain and Panic Brat – $11.99

Bratwurst, sweet and spicy onion relish, and sriracha mustard

Friars Nook 1

The tater tots were served hot with a crispy outside and soft inside.

We were surprised to find it served on a buttery, soft pretzel bun. The bratwurst is juicy and flavorful. The sriracha mustard has a big kick, but it’s balanced by the sweet, crunchy relish. This is one of the best counter service items in this park. It’s excellent.

*NEW* Pain and Panic Loaded Tots – $11.49

Tots topped with sweet and spicy onion relish, sriracha mustard, and crumbled bratwurst

Friars Nook 2

This is essentially the bratwurst without the pretzel bun. The sriracha is legitimately spicy in the best way. There’s too much onion on the loaded tots, and unfortunately, this wasn’t as good as the sandwich. It’s not bad, but we preferred the full thing.

*NEW* Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie – $9.99

with spicy ranch drizzle and blue cheese powder

Friars Nook 3

The filling is more like a buffalo chicken dip with a hint of bleu cheese and ranch. The shell is crispy. It’s very good.

The presentation is a bit drab, and nothing about this dish, even the name, is overtly Halloween. If this was on the regular menu, it would be our go-to for Magic Kingdom.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs from August 11 through November 1 on select nights. A separate ticket is required to attend.
