A new, updated Elsa Fantasmic costume has debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the nighttime spectacular.

The update is specifically for Elsa’s transformational costume, where she switches from her traveling outfit to her Fifth Spirit dress in the middle of the “Frozen 2” segment of the show.

The traveling outfit has actually been replaced with something resembling her iconic ice dress in “Frozen.” The skirt isn’t as long as the ice dress, but she has the same sparkling corset and long white sleeves.

It’s accompanied by the blue leggings from her traveling outfit. The whole look is less bulky and more clearly Elsa.

When Elsa “transforms,” she has another new dress. It still looks like her Fifth Spirit dress from “Frozen II,” but with an updated design to improve the transformation.

The new dress is all one piece, which better hides the transformational aspect of the costume, and less of Elsa’s traveling dress can be seen.

And here’s a look at the new Elsa Fantasmic costume while she’s aboard the steamboat at the end of the show.

Here, you can see Elsa’s skirt is all one piece with just a single slit up the side.

Elsa’s original costume for “Fantasmic!” was not one complete, closed skirt, but rather multiple panels that would fall over her traveling dress as part of the quick change. While the effect is still cool, you could still see her first dress through the panels of the Fifth Spirit dress.
