Even though World Princess Week doesn’t kick off until later this month, Walt Disney World is celebrating with delicious new Disney Princess-themed treats. One of those is the Moana Heart of Te Fiti Cupcake, available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
You can get it at Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus now through August 31, and mobile order is available.

Moana Heart of Te Fiti Cupcake – $6.29 (Available August 1-31)

The second we took our first bite of the cupcake, we could immediately smell the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, also known as Honolulu International Airport.
The flavor reminds us of coconut cake from Hawai’i. While not exactly the same, the taste is somewhat similar.
The coconut in the cake gives a nice texture, but the custard filling was the standout feature. We thought it was one of the best aspects of a Disney treat we’ve ever reviewed.
Specifically, the filling is pineapple custard, which we found to be right on point between “too sweet” and “not too sweet.” Sometimes cupcakes with filling will have far too much inside, but with this one, we needed more!
This cupcake features a lot of buttercream, as usual with Disney cupcakes. As you can see here, the cake and the buttercream are the same height.
The buttercream is supposed to be coconut flavored, but we didn’t taste much coconut in there.
It’s possible the cake had just too much coconut flavoring, and we missed it in the icing.
The Heart of Te Fiti is solid white chocolate.
The blue wave on top of the buttercream icing was a super thin honeycomb-like piece.
It didn’t offer much flavor beyond a general sweetness, but it did offer an extra crunch.
