Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where we spotted this brand new Polynesian Village Resort pin with Mickey, Minnie, and the resort’s tiki mascot, Maui.
We spotted this display in BouTiki, the main gift shop located in the Great Ceremonial House at The Polynesian Village Resort.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Pin – $14.99
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are the stars of this newest pin, and they’re enjoying a little beach time at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The pin features Mickey strumming a tune on his ukelele. Mickey is wearing a casual blue top with a large tropical leaf and flower print. His iconic red shorts have been swapped for green to match his top. He’s completed his casual look with a papale niu (coconut hat) and comfortable slides. Minnie, dancing to Mickey’s island rhythms, sports a dress printed to match Mickey’s top. The fashion icon has swapped her yellow heels for green, and tucked a Hawaiian hibiscus behind her ear in lieu of her usual bow.
The two are celebrating with Maui, the resort’s tiki mascot. Maui has been an icon of the resort since it opened in 1971. The Maui from the movie “Moana” and this Maui are both named after the same mischievous deity in Polynesian legend. Behind Maui, we see a stylized building peak painted to look like Disney’s Polynesian Village resort. Palm trees and a bright blue sky complete the lovely beach scene.
