Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club Teaser Displayed at Universal Studios Florida

The Dead Coconut Club is back…for revenge! Universal Orlando recently announced the upcoming theme for this year’s spooky overlay at the Red Coconut Club. The Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club in 3D will be themed around Monstergram Pictures’ latest B-movie: entitled “Target Planet Coconut”. Ahead of the grand opening of the club, a new display has been set up in the windows of the Pantages Theater at Universal Studios Florida.

The Pantages Theater is home to the Horror Makeup Show, so the new display fits in nicely among the Universal Monsters props and photos. The window to the right side of the doors shows the poster for “Revenge of the Red Planet” from Monstergram Pictures Studios. Over the summer, you may have spotted the Universal Monsters in the All Hallows Eve Boutique filming their latest picture. Take a look back at the production over at the Boutique in our post here.

A coconut tiki mug sits among Monstergram Pictures Studios coasters. Appropriately, there are both red and blue swizzle sticks designed to look like 3D glasses with the club logo at the top. Paper red and blue 3D glasses and a moon are placed on top of the club’s menu. The menu looks like a retro movie theater snack bar sign. Not much of the menu can be seen, but we did spot a reference to Milicent Patrick.

The artwork for Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club is displayed with the little mascot coconut character wearing a pair of red and blue 3D glasses. The dead coconut is below the text “See You At…” right next to the poster for “Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club”. The retro anaglyph 3D style of the club’s logo pairs with this year’s theme.

This is the second year that the Red Coconut Club in CityWalk has gotten a Halloween overlay and Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club seems like an appropriate sequel to the original. The Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club is having a family-friendly Annual Passholder preview on August 31 and will open to all guests on September 1. The club is located on the 2nd level of CityWalk and all ages are welcome.

This is the perfect spooky setting to enjoy a variety of cocktails and mocktails before or after a visit to Halloween Horror Nights. There will be special entertainment and a DJ throughout the night. Take a look at last year’s theme, spooky entertainment, and meet and greets. Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club will be open on select nights from September 1 to November 4 for the Halloween Horror Nights 32 season.

If you’re looking for more creepy bars to crawl around to, Swizzle Lounge at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort is decorated for Halloween and features themed drinks and spirits. Each Universal Orlando Hotel will be offering different themed cocktails during the Halloween season as well as a unique Universal Monster photo op. You can find more details on this and other Halloween events around property in our post here.

Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club does not require a ticket to Halloween Horror Nights or a ticket to the theme parks to enter. Though we haven’t seen inside the club yet, the teaser display in the window really gets us excited for what awaits us. Be sure to stay tuned for our full photo and video tour, along with reviews, when Revenge of the Dead Coconut Club opens or take a trip out and see it for yourself.
