Walt Disney World

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Walt Disney World has announced that MuppetVision 3D is permanently closing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Additionally, the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will no longer star Aerosmith. Instead, the Muppets will be taking a super-stretch limo to the other side of the park to take over the indoor coaster.
• Disney has said shared a quote offering insight into what they plan to do with the film once the venue closes to make way for a new theater show in Monstropolis.
• According to Disney, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be rethemed to welcome The Muppets as they “move right along” to Sunset Boulevard from their current home along Grand Avenue.
• With the reveal that MuppetVision 3D will be closing to make way for the Monsters Inc. land announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney has released new, updated concept art for the land, showing us a clearer picture of what we can expect.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is ready for the holidays. Decorations, including a giant Christmas tree, now adorn the resort lobby. They’ve also opened a kiosk of holiday sweets.
• The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass is now available to purchase for guests of any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Previously, it was limited to select Deluxe resort hotels.
