World of Frozen
Guests at today’s Destination D23 received a special glimpse inside World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland at this morning’s presentation. All of the shots are special looks at the land at night, and many of the views are never before released to the public, including this night view of an icy fountain inside the land.

Arendelle Castle’s dramatic night view reflected in the Arendelle Lagoon marks the first view of the castle from this angle ahead of the land’s November opening.

Bunting featuring art from the films hangs in the area, adding detail to the land near the entrance to World of Frozen’s coaster.

The area’s waterfall was featured in the announcements as well. In the concept art, we can see the mist from the waterfall near the coaster to the right. That section of the track appears to be in the image from the announcements above; the bridge on the right of the concept art would yield the view pictured.

Guests got a closer look at Elsa’s Ice Palace, its spires appearing carved by her ice magic into the frozen side of the North Mountain.

World of Frozen Opening Date Announced for Hong Kong Disneyland

Disney Parks fans have long anticipated the opening of the new World of Frozen expansion at Hong Kong Disneyland, and they won’t have to wait much longer. Disney announced on the September 8 edition of “Good Morning America” that the “Frozen”-themed land will officially open on November 20, 2023, later confirming the news on the Disney Parks X account.
World of Frozen Expansion at Hong Kong Disneyland
World of Frozen will have its own version of Frozen Ever After, the attraction that replaced Maelstrom at EPCOT in Walt Disney World Resort in 2016. Unlike its EPCOT counterpart, however, the World of Frozen version of the attraction will have non-screen-faced animatronics.
The World of Frozen will feature two additional attractions: Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs and Playhouse in the Woods. The former is a roller coaster through the mountains with a themed queue and, according to the land’s lore, was built by Oaken himself, presumably between his shifts at his shop. Playhouse in the Woods is an interactive experience for children to celebrate “Summer Snow Day,” an event being celebrated throughout the entire land.
Arendelle: World of Frozen will also have several shops and restaurants, including the Golden Crocus Inn.
The opening date roughly coincides with the 10th anniversary of “Frozen,” the breakout Walt Disney Animation Studios hit that released on November 27, 2013. The World of Frozen expansion features landmarks from the film such as the North Mountain, Elsa’s Ice Palace, and Arendelle Castle.

Disney released a video of Anna and Elsa traversing the new land in late August, but today’s images are the first night shots publicly available.
