- Volunteer registration opened for the 2023 Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, which takes place at Walt Disney World in November, but volunteers discovered they will no longer receive complimentary theme park tickets.
- Disney Parks, Experiences and Products has hired Louise Pentland, former Chief Business Affairs and Legal Officer at PayPal, as their new Chief Counsel reporting to Horacio Gutierrez, Senior EVP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of The Walt Disney Company.
- Walt Disney World has released the full list of limited-time food and beverage items that will be available across the resort for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month 2023, which runs from September 15 through October 15.

- Magic Key Holders attending Oogie Boogie Bash 2023 can visit Paradise Gardens Park to take advantage of an exclusive experience featuring candy, a complimentary popcorn carrier, and a photo opportunity.
- Disney’s Villains Grove has taken over the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at Oogie Boogie Bash once again this year, and we got photos and video of all the creepy details.
- Last night was the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash for 2023, and everyone’s favorite spooky Disney characters and villains made an appearance in the Frightfully Fun Parade at Disney California Adventure.

- A Florida Spectrum customer has sued Spectrum’s parent company, Charter Communications, after a disagreement between the company and Disney led to a blackout of ESPN, ABC, and other Disney channels on Labor Day weekend.
- Comcast CEO Brian Roberts has stated the timeline for Hulu’s ownership negotiations will be moved up, according to a report from CNBC.

- A new report from CNBC chronicles Bob Iger’s retirement and Bob Chapek’s tenure as The Walt Disney Company’s CEO, leading to Iger taking the role back in November 2022. The full story includes office showers, a hippo, references to “Mean Girls” starring Lindsey Lohan, and references to “The Eiger Sanction” starring Clint Eastwood, but a stand-out quote is Chapek reportedly referring to his approximately three years at the company’s helm as “hell.”
- Among the sometimes bizarre anecdotes shared by CNBC in their report about Bob Chapek’s time as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and Bob Iger’s subsequent return, is a story about Chapek’s attempts to “humanize” himself by skipping management meetings to pet a hippo.
