The Spicy Chicken Sandwich has returned to Carnation Café in Disneyland Park for another year of Halloween celebrations. The sandwich originally debuted in the summer of 2019 and has returned multiple times.
Spicy Chicken Sandwich – $18
Hand-breaded Fried Chicken Breast tossed in Spicy Chile Sauce with Pepper Jack and Mustard Slaw on a Brioche Bun
This sandwich comes served with French fries, which are always a necessity in our book. The sandwich is spicy but flavorful. The bread is nice and soft and buttery like all the other sandwiches.
The chicken is plump and tender. We were served a hearty piece, which made this sandwich very filling. Our one complaint is that there’s too much slaw, which destroys the bun, but you can easily take some off.

Halloween at Disneyland Resort
On weekends and select weekday nights, Disneyland guests can enjoy “Halloween Screams” in the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle. “Wondrous Journeys” ceased performances for the holiday nighttime spectaculars, but is expected to return next year.
Over in New Orleans Square, the Haunted Mansion has become Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring “The Nightmare Before Christmas” characters.
In Downtown Disney District is the Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit scavenger hunt. Players can win a pumpkin bucket-shaped sipper featuring different character pumpkins.
Oogie Boogie Bash has returned to Disney California Adventure for another frightening season. Judge Doom, Yokai, and Lotso all debuted for this year’s event. Villains Grove is back, taking over Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. The Frightfully Fun Parade also features Disney Villains and other characters.
