Disney Jollywood Nights Exclusive Character Costumes, Stage Shows, and Food Previewed on Good Morning America

Disney has offered a glimpse at some of the exclusive offerings that guests attending the upcoming Disney Jollywood Nights holiday party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have the opportunity to experience. Disney Live Entertainment Creative Director Tom Vazzana showcased the festive costumes that Mickey and his friends will wear at the party during an October 16 appearance on Good Morning America, also previewing some of the previously announced dining and entertainment options that will be offered during Disney Jollywood Nights.

Vazzana stated that the costumes will be “one of a kind for [Disney Jollywood Nights].” The costumes combine the holiday spirit with the glitz and glamour of early 20th-century Hollywood, matching the aesthetic that Disney Jollywood Nights is attempting to achieve.

Mickey wears a yellow-striped boater hat between his ears, and the hat’s vivid teal hue is replicated on his overshirt. Mickey also dons an orange t-shirt, white pants, and pink shoes. Minnie wears a pink and green dress with yellow buttons and white detailing, and her outfit is completed with a festive bow attached to her right ear. Goofy and Donald each wear green sweaters; Goofy completes his outfit with orange pants, a red, white, and green scarf, and a green Santa hat, while Donald rounds his out with a primarily red scarf (with green detailing) and a pastel orange Santa hat. Daisy wears a pink sweater with a teal bow while Pluto dons red reindeer ears and a festive collar with a Starlight peppermint candy ornament.

Vazzana also announced that several “retro” characters, including Max dressed as Powerline, Chip ‘n’ Dale in their “Rescue Rangers” garb, and Phineas & Ferb, will appear around Echo Lake. All of these characters have appeared at Walt Disney World Resort before — Max debuted his Powerline outfit at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2022 and has occasionally worn it during meet and greets since. Chip ‘n’ Dale have appeared at several locations in their “Rescue Rangers” attire, most recently at the former FastPass+ distribution area near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Phineas and Ferb appeared as meet and greet characters during Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration at Magic Kingdom in 2019.

Though not brought up by Vazzana, it was previously announced that Edna Mode will also appear alongside another character from “The Incredibles” at Pixar Place during offerings of the party.

Vazzana also previewed the two exclusive stage shows that will be performed at Disney Jollywood Nights.

“At Theater of the Stars, the incomparable Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog are part of the action with Tiana and Belle. The Hyperion Theater has a whole new show all dedicated to Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas.'”

The first piece of concept art shown during Vazzana’s GMA spot was initially shared in June and features Miss Piggy and Kermit the Frog waving from a wreath as Tiana and Belle appear below them alongside a band on the Theater of Stars stage. The next piece of concept art is new and places the beloved Muppets behind a stack of holiday presents in the middle of the stage. Holiday lights and decorations adorn several areas of the stage as performers dance and sing on either side of Miss Piggy and Kermit.

Vazzana briefly touched on a “The Nightmare Before Christmas”-inspired show that will be performed at the Hyperion Theater; the sing-along was also initially announced in June.

The executive also discussed the previously announced “speakeasy singalong” at The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant and a Tip-Top Club-inspired soiree outside The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction. Bench art advertising the Tip-Top Club, a prestigious hotel lounge area introduced in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror lore, was installed throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios last month.
