Add one (or two) little sparks to your wardrobe with the new Figment jewelry set and Haunted Mansion-inspired socks that recently arrived at EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort. The new merchandise allows the beloved dragon to manifest from your imagination and into your outfit; we found the new necklace and earrings set at Gateway Gifts in the World Celebration neighborhood of the park, while the Haunted Mansion-inspired socks manifested at ImageWorks inside the Imagination! Pavilion.
Figment Necklace – $26.99
Figment’s head serves as the primary charm on this silver necklace. The pendant depicts the smiling face of the rambunctious dragon, and the long chain is connected to his horns. Gem-studded star and metal ball charms appear intermittently throughout the chain, which detaches and reconnects via a lobster claw clasp.
This necklace initially debuted on shopDisney in early July, but this is the first time that we’ve spotted it at EPCOT since its reveal. The accessory is still listed on shopDisney but is currently sold out.
Figment is no stranger to merchandise (especially at his home park of EPCOT), but this particular image of his face is one that’s appeared on quite a bit of merchandise in recent months. A near-identical depiction of the dragon’s head appeared on a “One Little Spark” ornament that debuted at EPCOT in late August, and also appears on the Haunted Mansion-inspired socks.
Figment Earrings – $26.99
Figment already has a home in your imagination and brain, so you may as well let him appear on either side of your head.
Much of the imagery depicted on the necklace is borrowed by the earrings set. The Figment head that served as the primary pendant on the necklace serves as the earrings’ dangle charms, while the gem-studded star charms serve as the studs.
This earrings set is also available for purchase on shopDisney; unlike the necklace, it is currently in stock.
Haunted Mansion-Themed Figment Socks – $16.99
Spook up your shoe game with the new Haunted Mansion-inspired Figment socks. The character plays the role of Madame Leota on these dark purple socks, appearing in a floating crystal ball beneath the words “Make Your Dreams Materialize.”
Floating green instruments and translucent Figment heads fill the negative space, while Dreamfinder makes a cameo appearance near the toe.
These socks are part of a larger merchandise line that sees Figment take a spin on a number of iconic Walt Disney World attractions, particularly those at Magic Kingdom. A magnet featuring the same Haunted Mansion-inspired imagery debuted at EPCOT in mid-September, while another magnet placing the dragon on the Mad Tea Party attraction arrived at the park later that month.
Figment’s History
Figment debuted alongside Dreamfinder in 1983 as part of Journey into Imagination, which opened a few months after the grand opening of EPCOT Center. The attraction demonstrated the beauty, power, and wonder of imagination to guests and was well-received, allowing Figment and Dreamfinder to become pseudo-mascots of the park.
Though several iterations of Journey into Imagination (of varying audience reception) have been offered since the attraction’s opening, Figment today remains a popular EPCOT icon. He’s developed an ardent fanbase as he appears on merchandise, in inspired desserts, and even in video games. A move from your imagination and onto the big screen is also in the works, as comedic actor and filmmaker Seth Rogen began working on a film centered around the beloved character in September 2022.
A Figment meet and greet debuted inside the Imagination! Pavilion at EPCOT on September 10. The interaction served as the dragon’s long-awaited return as a meet and greet character and prompted waits of up to five hours.
