In addition to all of the new menu items available today, October 11, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, two new breakfast options have been added to the menu at Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery.

Egg and Bacon Croissant Sandwich – $8.99

The Egg and Bacon Croissant Sandwich is a solid new breakfast quick service option at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Our croissant was moist, light, and fresh, and worked well with the contents of the sandwich.

We wouldn’t call the thick slab of bacon crispy, as ours was more on the floppy side. The tomato-pepper relish offers a nice sweetness that helps elevate the dish.

The potato barrels are average, but the portion is decently sized and could be shared with another person.

Out of the two new options at Kusafiri, this was our favorite. This is a generous portion of a savory dish.

What really separates this item from other breakfast items at Walt Disney World quick service restaurants is that the combination of nacho cheese and the cold cheese curds adds a layer of creaminess that works really well against the saltiness of potato barrels.

The crispy bits of bacon add a nice crunch and more salty flavor to the dish, as well. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and light, though they are your usual cafeteria tray fare, so don’t expect much beyond that. The eggs still work for what they are, though.
