Disney Wish Movie Still IMDB 1

“Wish” is an animated musical that uses a mix of traditional and 3D animation. The film follows Asha (Ariana Debose), a sharp-witted idealist who makes a wish upon a star that changes the fate of her entire kingdom. The movie also features Chris Pine as King Magnifico and Alan Tudyk as Valentino, a talking goat.

The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen II”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) from a script penned by Buck, Allison Moore (“Night Sky”), and Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee (who also worked on both “Frozen” films). According to its directors, “Wish” will feature several legacy nods to films from the Walt Disney Animation Studios library.

Promotion for the new film has been prevalent throughout the past several weeks. In mid-October, Disney announced intentions to release a song from the film each Wednesday until its release“This Wish,” “This Is The Thanks I Get?!,” “Welcome to Rosas,” and “I’m A Star” are the tracks that have been previewed thus far.

The Las Vegas Sphere featured a unique “Wish” advertisement.
