Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Holiday Remix, a holiday “overlay” of the ride featuring a medley of classic holiday songs with altered lyrics, is not returning for the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

The holiday version of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind debuted last year for the ride’s first holiday season. The holiday medley prominently featured a new version of “Run Rudolph Run” with altered lyrics to be about the Guardians, including replacing Rudolph’s name with Rocket’s and adding Groot saying, “I am Groot.” The medley also included “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells.” The only additional line of dialogue was Rocket referencing the North Pole near the end, and the visuals of the ride didn’t change.

Usually, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind features a randomly selected song from a list of six classic 1970s and ’80s tracks. With the Holiday Remix, all vehicles featured the same holiday music.
