The Incredicoaster in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure is closed for what is expected to be a short refurbishment. The Disneyland website states, “Incredicoaster is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back here for updates.” A look at the online calendar has the ride scheduled to be open on December 2 and onwards, but that could always change.

The description of Incredicoaster reads:

Baby Jack-Jack’s superpowers are causing chaos as he teleports from tunnel to tunnel, and The Incredibles sprint into action to save the day. Buckle up for an exhilarating ride around Pixar Pier!

Located in Pixar Pier’s Incredibles’ Park neighborhood, the Incredicoaster boasts enclosed tunnels, special effects, scenes and a musical score by Incredibles 2 composer Michael Giacchino for even more super-fied fun!

Incredicoaster opened as California Screamin’ with the rest of Disney California Adventure in 2001. It was designed by Werner Stengel and built by Intamin. At the time, the land was named Paradise Pier. When it was renamed Pixar Pier and rethemed to the animated films in 2018, California Screamin’ became Incredicoaster, inspired by the Incredibles. This year, it began operating during “World of Color” for the first time, along with Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind and Jumpin’ Jellyfish.

Over at Disneyland, the Astro Orbiter is closed for a much longer refurbishment. It won’t reopen until 2024.
