REVIEW: Market at Disney Jollywood Nights Serves Up Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls, Frozone’s Snowball Macaroons, & More Seasonal Selections

We took a Christmas culinary adventure at Disney Jollywood nights to try all the menu offerings at Market. Check out which ones made our nice list, and which ones tasted about as good as a lump of coal.

Market Special Menu Items for Disney Jollywood Nights

Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls – $6.00

Fried spring rolls served with a jalapeño-ranch dipping sauce and fried rice noodles

These were very tasty spring rolls, served in a cute Chinese takeout box. The order comes with three small spring rolls, roughly two-and-a-half inches long, and filled with a tasty buffalo chicken mixture that had a spot-on Buffalo taste without being too spicy.

The jalapeño ranch dipping sauce was the perfect compliment to the spring rolls. In addition to the fried rice noodles, the bottom of the container also had diced carrots and celery pieces, which were served in a way that made them difficult to eat.

It would have been nice if there were just one or two carrot and celery sticks to go along with the spring rolls instead of the diced mixture at the bottom of the box.

Frozone’s Snowball Macaroons – $4.49

Coconut macaroons drizzled with blue vanilla frosting and topped with white snowflake sprinkles

Coconut fans have a lot of food and beverage options to enjoy at Disney Jollywood Nights, including these macarons. They’re very densely packed with coconut while still being moist.

The bottoms are dipped in dark chocolate, in typical macaroon fashion.

The top is drizzled with blue icing, powdered sugar, and snowflake sprinkles; these toppings make the dish attractive but a little too sweet for us. We’d prefer it if they scaled back a bit on the powdered sugar.

Zero-Proof Apple Cider – $7.49

Lyre’s Spiced Cane Spirit, apple cider, Angostura Bitters, and cinnamon topped with an apple chip and cinnamon rim

This was the better zero-proof drink available at Disney Jollywood Nights. The cane spirit adds just a hint of rum-like flavor, but this drink did not have the same chemical taste as that of the zero-proof piña colada.

We enjoyed this, but we’re not sure that the added couple of dollars for the zero-proof spirit is worth it in terms of adding anything extra to the drink.

Also available is a Spiced Apple Cider, which is the same drink as the Zero-Proof Apple Cider, but omits the bitters and Lyre’s zero-proof spirit. We didn’t get this one, since we’d already tried the Zero-Proof, but it’s available from Market.

In Holiday Fashion – $9

Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, rosemary syrup, cranberry and lime juices, and cinnamon

This Old Fashioned is a nice holiday spin on a classic cocktail. We really appreciate that they use Buffalo Trace bourbon. The rosemary is very heavy in terms of smell, but it’s not overly strong in taste as part of the drink.

There is a nice balance between the rosemary, cranberry, lime, and cinnamon that gives this drink a Christmas feel. If you’re a fan of Old Fashioneds, we really recommend this.
