The “Party Monorail” is back! Back in the fall of 2021, the Walt Disney World Monorail system debuted colorful new undercarriage lights. During last year’s new year celebrations, the Monorails turned into “Party Monorails” with flashing lights. During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this fall, the lights were switched to purple and orange. Now the lights are red and green in honor of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom.

We spotted the new Christmas colors after Thursday’s first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party of the year.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place on select nights from now through December 22, 2023. It’s a hard-ticket, after-hours event with special treats, character meet and greets, and entertainment. Read more of our coverage from the first party of the season:
