Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen tends to have plenty of new dishes on its menu for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and this year is no different. There’s only one returning dish, which is a dessert, and only one returning cocktail, which means there are four new items at this booth for us to try!

*NEW* Giant Tostada de Chorizo: Giant Tostada with Chipotle Black Bean Purée, Ground Chorizo, Salsa Verde, Queso Cotija, Crema Mexicana and Pickled Onion – $11.50
As the name suggests, this is a very large tostada. However, the shell is a bit on the thin side.
The black bean puree is very spicy and adds a nice kick. Beware, this is more spicy than regular Disney spicy.
We didn’t find the spice to be overpowering, and the entire dish was flavorful.
Due to its size, we definitely recommend sharing this one with a group.
*NEW* Tamale de Barbacoa: Shredded Barbacoa Beef in a Corn Masa topped with Mole Negro, Queso Cotija, Crema Mexicana and Pickled Onions – $8.50
The barbacoa beef was tender, but the actual corn tamale part was rather flavorless and dry.
We liked the mole negro sauce and that could’ve helped with the dryness, but there wasn’t enough in the dish to make a difference
Dulce de Leche Churro sprinkled with Cinnamon-Sugar – $6.50
This was an okay churro. The Dulce de Leche filling was hard to pin down a taste for. It was just creamy and sweet, almost apple-tasting. It was decent, but not any more exciting than a regular churro.
*NEW* Apple Margarita: Centinela Blanco Tequila ($38/bottle), Apple Purée, Black Tea-Cinnamon Cordial and Nixta Corn Liqueur ($36/bottle) topped with Whipped Cream and Holiday Salt – $14
If you’ve been to a college party, then we’re pretty sure you’ve had this drink before.
This margarita is incredibly alcohol-forward and doesn’t really have any of the apple or corn liquor flavors to balance it out. It tasted like we were sipping on (cheap) tequila.
Horchata Margarita: Cinnamon-Infused Ilegal Mezcal, Abasolo Corn Whisky ($40/bottle), Agua de Horchata and Cinnamon-Horchata Rum – $13.25
This is like horchata-flavored coconut water, and it even says in the description “Agua de Horchata” so we should have known then. It’s a very thin consistency and it’s sippable, but not entirely drinkable. The cinnamon is hard to find in here and no flavors really stand out either.
