Volcano Bay will be closed on Thursday, November 23 (Thanksgiving), and Friday, November 24. Universal Orlando Resort shared the news on X and told guests to call 407-817-8317 or stay tuned to social media channels for updates.

According to Weather.com, Orlando is currently forecasted to have a high of 71° and a low of 59° on Thursday, with mostly cloudy conditions. Friday is expected to have a high of 69° and a low of 59° with a 50% chance of rain.

Saturday may also be cloudy. The current temperature forecast is 75°/62°.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will also be closed on Thursday and Friday due to the weather.

Weather-related closures are not uncommon for Central Florida water parks, particularly in the winter when temperatures sometimes get too low to comfortably operate the parks. Last winter, Universal Volcano Bay closed several times from November to March with temperatures sometimes dipping down into the 40s.

The new Volcano Bay logo now appears on Universal Orlando Resort signage.
