A blue version of the Ursula tiki mug first released at Disneyland Resort is now available for a limited time at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
Blue Ursula Tiki Mug
The original Disneyland Resort version of the mug was purple and had a shiny finish. This version is teal blue with a matte finish.
The mug is modeled after Ursula’s cauldron as it appears in “The Little Mermaid” (1989) with ridged detailing and claw-like pieces sticking up from the rim. One of Ursula’s tentacles wraps around the handle. Polyps are depicted around the bowl of the mug and on the sides of its internal structure. In the film, these polyps are the captured souls of former merpeople.
The Ursula tiki mug includes an orb-shaped glow cube that can sit on a pedestal in the center of the mug and lights up in different colors.
Beginning at noon ET daily while supplies last, Trader Sam’s will begin wristband distribution for the Usula tiki mug, which will be sold with a choice of a specialty beverage. There is a limit of two per person, per transaction.
The Ursula tiki mug, drink, and glow cube are $75. The two “Little Mermaid”-inspired drinks available with the tiki mug are Sign the Scroll and Just Your Voice.
- Sign the Scroll: Kraken Black Spiced Rum, Bols Blue Curaçao Liqueur, Red Passion Fruit, and Pomegranate Juice
- Just Your Voice: Pomegranate Juice with flavors of Red Passion Fruit and Blue Curaçao topped with Soda Water (non-alcoholic beverage)
We got our wristband at about 12:50 p.m. Cast Members said to return at 3:00 p.m. to pick up our mug.
