Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park Closing This Weekend Due to Incoming Storms

Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will be closed on Saturday, December 16, and Sunday, December 17, due to heavy rainstorms coming to Central Florida.

The water park has closed frequently in the past few weeks due to cold temperatures. It is open today (Friday) and is scheduled to reopen on Monday.

Heavy rainfall, possibly two to three inches, is expected all weekend with possible thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 35 MPH.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is one of two water parks on Walt Disney World property. The other, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, runs on an alternating schedule with Blizzard Beach. It closed for the season on November 6, the day Blizzard Beach reopened.
