Waivers & Check-In Pass

All weekend participants must complete a waiver form before arriving for each event you’re participating in. To make this more convenient, you can complete it digitally. A parent or legal guardian will need to sign a waiver for any participant under 18.

  1. To sign your digital participant waiver and save time at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, you’ll need to log in to your runDisney Account.
  2. Select “View & Sign Your Documents” in the important reminders section or select the race weekend from your registrations.
  3. Select “View Your Registration” and then select “Your Documents.” If you do not see your registration in your account, please refer to “What if my race registration does not appear on my account” in the FAQ’s.
  4. Once you have read the complete waiver, you will agree to sign the waiver electronically and then type your full name. Please note that your name must match the name used during the time of registration.
  5. Once you have signed your waiver, you will have the option to download or email yourself a copy.

Expo Check-In Pass

Your Expo Check-in Pass will be needed at the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo to pick up your race bib. Your Expo Check-in Pass will be available to you on January 9, 2024 on your runDisney Account. Bring a printed or digital copy of your Expo Check-In Pass for each event you are participating in and a valid photo I.D. to the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo to pick up your race bib.

Your Expo Check-In Pass will also be needed at the entrance of the Pixar Pals Parking Structure in order to receive discounted parking during the Expo. Please have your Check-In Pass ready to show to the parking attendant.

runDisney Reminders

All Participants must attend the Expo in the days prior to their race with a valid photo ID and their Waiver, and Check-In Pass to pick up their Race Bib.

Refer to the transportation information for each race and be sure to park or get dropped off at the appropriate location based on your race start location. Allow plenty of time to park, go through security check, and walk to race check-in.

Before participating in any exercise program or activity, you should seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health care professional. It is your responsibility to immediately stop any activity or exercise if you feel discomfort or pain and seek medical assistance as appropriate.

Safety Reminders

All participants, Guests, costumes, and bags are subject to inspection and screening before entering the Expo and event staging areas. All participants must follow the instructions of runDisney officials.

Per the Safety Reminders in the Race Policies section on the runDisney website, for everyone’s safety, selfie sticks, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, backpacks, skates, scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and pets of any kind are prohibited from the course. Violators will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area.

Weapons of any kind or objects that appear to be actual weapons — including toy guns — are not allowed for any participants. Foam swords and all-plastic lightsabers may be permitted, but they may not exceed 36 inches in length.

Headphones are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course for participant safety.

Any children under the race age requirement will not be permitted in start groups, on course, or in athlete-only areas. Unregistered individuals will be denied entry into start groups. Only registered athletes are permitted in athlete-only areas.

Race Bib and Start Group Assignment

runDisney will be utilizing Start Groups to manage the flow of participants from the staging area to the start of the race. Your start group designation is a Capital Letter such as A, B, and C, and is located in the upper corner of your bib.

Each participant is assigned a race bib. Please wear the race bib centered on the front of your outermost garment. It is the responsibility of the athlete to wear his or her bib during the race, as well as to know the following:

In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm that your bib is:

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (do not fold, wrinkle or iron)
  • Pinned in all 4 corners
  • Not covered with shirts, jackets, winter wear, athlete belts, water bottles, etc.
  • If a participant is seen without their bib number while running on the course, they will be removed from the course for security and safety reasons.
  • The letter on your bib will determine your assigned start group. Start groups are assigned based on proof of time provided for the half marathon or your estimated finishing time. Start groups are based on anticipated pace per mile for the 5K and 10K.
  • No start group changes will be made at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
  • Emergency Medical Information can be filled out on the back of your bib.

Participants must enter through the staging area determined for each race to access the start groups and start the race. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.

Pacing Requirements

Participants must complete the race within the 16-minute-per-mile pacing requirement established by runDisney. Pacing requirements are inclusive of taking photos with Characters, restroom breaks, and food/water stops.

Pace cyclists will be on the course indicating when runners are behind pace by waving a red flag at each mile marker according to the official pace time. If you reach a mile marker with a red flag waving, please note you are behind the required 16-minute-per-mile pace and can be picked up at any time and transported to the course pick-up tent.

Medical

The Hoag Medical Team is here to help!

Medical support will be available on course during each race as well as at the finish line.

Medical personnel can be found in the finish chute and around the family reunion area.

Emergency Medical Information can be filled out on the back of your bib before starting your event.
